Membership

Chef Kirsten Pedersen has traveled around Europe,
the United States and Canada over the past 35 years.
Having
been exposed to such a vast array of different foods at a
young age, she developed a distinct palate and passion for
fine food. She trained at the New England Culinary
Institute, located in Montpelier, Vermont. She is a member
of the International Caterers Association. She is also
certified with the National Safety and Sanitation Board for
restaurants.
Chef Kirsten continues to travel around the
country and the world to keep abreast of different trends
and bring home new ideas.
Currently, Alaskan Events & Catering is the sole caterer
for Meier Lake Conference Centre. This beautiful
establishment is situated on Meier Lake and has a wonderful
view of the Talkeetna Mountains at Mile 6.5 of the Wasilla
Fishhook Road. It is the perfect place to hold corporate
events, weekend retreats, weddings, holiday parties or other
social events. Please inquire about
having your event catered
on the lake.
In the summer of 2002, Kirsten was a guest chef on the
Summer Chef Series, hosted by Channel 2 News, of Anchorage,
Alaska. Be sure to inquire about a special dessert that can
be tailored for your event!
