PoliciesEVENT PLANNINGCatering servicesWe are please that you are interested in having Alaskan Events & Catering host your event. As one of Alaska's finest caterers, we will meet and exceed your every expectation! MinimumsAll catered events require a $450 food ordering minimum / 25 person / $15 per person minimum for breakfasts & lunches. Private dinner parties with tailored menus are subject to approval of both the client and Alaskan Events & Catering, LLC. During the busy wedding months of May through September and the month of December, $1000 minimum is required for all events from Thursday evenings through Sundays. Guest counts are important and you are encouraged to send out RSPV's if necessary, to determine this figure. Set-up /operations /staffing/ gratuities/ delivery fees are based on each individual event, according to location, menu, event size and length. GuaranteeWhen planning your event, it is essential to determine the minimum number of attending guests. Additional guests, up to 25, may be added up to 10 days prior to the event. In the event that you foresee a significant guest count increase, please contact our office as soon as possible! Guest numbers may be increased in number but not decreased. For this reason, please attempt to be as accurate as possible in determining totals. Generally, summer events do tend to draw a lower turnout (unless you are bringing up out of state guests specifically for the event) than do winter events. For all events, the final guaranteed number will be charged. A 50% deposit, based on the estimated total and the signed contract is required, to confirm your event. Final amount is due 21 business days prior to your event. Events booked out less than 21 days are payable in full at the time of the reservation. Please see the cancellation policy listed on the proposal for further information. Any alterations to the billing (extended event times etc.) will be adjusted and any further amounts due, will be payable within three days of the event. Take-home menuIf you do not require full service catering, this is an excellent way to entertain and still relax and enjoy a party with your guests. Our ‘Take Home’ Menu offers you a wide variety of appetizers and hors d’oeuvres. A minimum of 72 hours notice is required for most trays and is subject availability. Set up is available at an additional cost. Hors 'd oeuvres & AppetizersHors d’oeuvres may be served as starter to the entrée or as a main meal, in station settings. If being served as a main meal, we suggest you choose between 7 - 9 menu items for groups of less than 100. For 100 or more, we suggest 8 or more items. Ideas to considerFor weddings: If serving wedding cake, our proposal will reflect a credit for omitting the dessert. The same applies for coffee and tea service if requested. The ‘Classic Ware’, plastic wear is a very beautiful way to serve your guests without the expense and rentals of china and cutlery. Please inquire about viewing a sample of those plates which are very elegant and quite suitable for remote locations or outdoor events. Ice Sculptures are available. Please contact us to determine what style may suitable to your event. Although the menu is extensive, we are not able to print out every possible menu item. Please inquire about any special menu requests or themed events that may better suit your needs. Wedding ConsultationsConsultations are important for a successful event and average about one hour to 90 minutes. In an effort to determine serious potential clientele, a small consultation fee will be assessed.
